GMC makes the Canyon in four trim levels. Returning, you have the Elevation, AT4, and Denali trims, and then there’s the all-new AT4X model that’s outfitted for off-road adventuring. Here’s a look at the trim levels, pricing, and towing capacity by model:

As you can see, you can achieve a towing capacity of 7,700 pounds on most models, provided the Pro Trailer package is installed. However, the AT4X has more durable components and off-road equipment that add weight to the truck. As a result, the towing capacity is lower in this model.

What’s New for the 2023 GMC Canyon?

We’ll get to the AT4X in a minute, but first, let’s look at some of the most attractive new features you’ll find on the 2023 Canyon models. GMC widened the Canyon’s track and gave it a bold new front fascia highlighted by an aggressive grille framed by signature C-shaped LED headlights. Fenders flare over off-road wheels and tires, while the chiseled sides add to the Canyon’s athletic profile. You also get an off-road suspension with a 2-inch factory lift. Even the tailgate has been upgraded with a new watertight and lockable storage compartment.

2023 GMC Canyon Elevation Trim

Keyless entry lets you into your Canyon and push-button start technology gets the engine running with minimal effort. Elevation models come with premium cloth seats in several colors and an available upgrade to the CoreTec synthetic upholstery. In addition, you get a six-way manually adjusting driver’s seat and a four-way manual front passenger seat.

The technology in the Elevation includes an 11.3-inch color touch screen with Google Built-In, Wireless Apple CarPlay, Wireless Android Auto, and Bluetooth technology pre-installed. These systems enable you to synch your smartphone and access your favorite apps, make calls, stream playlists, and more using intuitive voice commands. In addition, every Canyon model can turn into a Wi-Fi hotspot that connects several devices within 50 feet. You also get a free trial subscription to OnStar, unlocking even more remote connectivity.

The Canyon features an 8-inch color driver information display that you can configure to show important information. You also get a six-speaker audio system and a free trial of SiriusXM satellite radio. A 12-volt power outlet is standard, and you can add a 120-volt outlet as an option. Plus, you get two USB charge and data ports in the front and a third charge-only port in the back seat. 

2023 GMC Canyon AT4 Trim

Not to be confused with the AT4X, the AT4 does have some similarities. In addition to coming with the same features as the Elevation, you get some upgrades. Previously optional features such as a 120-volt outlet, remote start, and a dual-zone climate control system have become standard. You also get an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat plus the option for a six-way power front passenger seat. You have your choice of premium cloth or CoreTec upholstery. 

Other optional equipment includes ventilated front seats, a head-up display, a wireless charging pad, and a heated steering wheel.

2023 GMC Canyon Denali Trim

The Canyon’s premium trim offers the luxury features that elevate your driving experience, such as quilted leather upholstery with signature Denali stitching. Heated and ventilated front seats come standard, and the rear outboard seats are heated too. The front passenger seat upgrades to a six-way power-adjusting seat, while the driver’s seat has two memory positions to recall the seat, steering wheel, and outside mirrors to your presets.

A larger 11-inch driver information cluster enables more customizable information to be displayed simultaneously. In addition, GMC adds a Bose seven-speaker audio system, the HD Surround Vision system, GMC’s Safety Alert Seat, a wireless charging pad, and a heated steering wheel as standard equipment.

2023 GMC Canyon AT4X Trim

GMC engineered the Canyon AT4X trim to handle serious off-road excursions, adding equipment such as a full-locking driver-selectable front differential unit that locks both front wheels to turn in unison for additional traction. You get a beefier 220-amp alternator to handle the other systems and a 3-inch factory lift. Red front recovery hooks come standard, and you can add a winch kit, steel drive shaft, and skid plates for more protection and versatility. Beadlock-capable wheels with optional 33-inch all-terrain tires add impressive off-road performance.

2023 GMC Canyon Powertrain

Under the hood, every Canyon has a revised 2.7-liter high-output turbocharged four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. As a result, this powertrain generates 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The Elevation comes standard with front-wheel drive and the option for four-wheel drive. In addition, the AT4, Denali, and AT4X trims come standard with four-wheel drive.

2023 GMC Canyon Driver-Assist Technology

Every GMC Canyon comes with GMC’s Canyon Pro Safety package — a suite of driver-assist systems designed to elevate your drive and keep you safe. OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT

While the oil in your car is probably the most critical fluid found in it, the engine coolant comes in a close second. It’s responsible for making sure that your car’s engine doesn’t overheat. If your car’s engine temperature warning light ever pops up, it’ll be a sign that its engine coolant is either leaking or not doing its job and that its engine is getting too hot as a result. You’ll want to pull your car over immediately since continuing to drive without enough coolant could wreak havoc on your car’s engine.

ABS WARNING LIGHT

If you’re ever forced to slam on your brakes for one reason or another, the ABS will spring into action to stop your brakes from completely locking up on you. The ABS warning light coming on will indicate that your ABS isn’t operating as it should. This could be a safety hazard, so you’ll want to drive your car to a service center immediately to get your ABS back in good working order.

BATTERY ALERT LIGHT

At first glance, you might think the battery alert light is a sign that your car’s battery is about to die, and this could very well be the case. But it could also suggest that you have a loose battery cable, an alternator on its last legs, or even a fault in your car’s electrical system. Whatever the case, you’ll need to have your car’s battery inspected before you continue driving.

AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT

Most cars on the road today have a series of airbags in them that are strategically positioned throughout a vehicle to protect drivers and passengers in the event of a crash. If you spot your airbag indicator light come on, it’ll let you know that you have either a single airbag that isn’t working or an entire airbag system that’s gone down. This could put you in real danger if you happen to get into an accident, so you shouldn’t hesitate to arrange to have your airbags fixed.

BRAKE WARNING LIGHT

If the brake warning light appears on your car’s dashboard, the first thing you should do is check to see if your parking brake is engaged. If it is, disengaging it should shut this light right off. If, however, the light is still on after you’ve disengaged the parking brake, you might have a problem with your car’s braking system. The all-new 2023 GMC Acadia is a mid-size SUV that has plenty of interior and exterior features that help you drive safely, provide comfort, expand your entertainment options, and give you full customization of your new vehicle. HISTORY OF THE GMC ACADIA

2023 GMC Acadia

GMC first introduced the Acadia to the United States in 2006 as a 2007 model-year vehicle. The original Acadia was a large SUV meant to compete with other large SUVs throughout the mid-2000s and into the late 2010s. This ended with the second generation of the Acadia, which GMC debuted in 2017. This generation of Acadia, which includes the 2023, decreased the size of the Acadia to a mid-size SUV to compete with other mid-size crossover vehicles on the market. As part of the decrease in size, GMC made several other changes to the vehicle.

TRIM LEVEL EXTERIORS

The GMC Acadia comes in four different trim levels. These are the 2023 Acadia SLE, the SLT, the AT4, and the Denali. Each of these can change some of the available features and colors of the vehicle. All the trim levels come in seven colors including Summit White, Sterling Metallic, Volcanic Red Tintcoat, Ebony Twilight Metallic, White Frost Tricoat, Ultra Blue Metallic, and Light Stone Metallic.

When you get the GMC Acadia at the AT4 trim level, some exterior differences start to become apparent. First, it comes with 17-inch gloss-black wheels and all-terrain tires to make travel on or off the roads easier. This trim level also has black-capped exterior mirrors, a black chrome front grille, and gloss-black roof rails. Each of these combines to make the vehicle stand out from the lower trim levels.

At the peak of the trim levels stands the Denali. The Denali exterior comes with the chrome Denali front grille, 20-inch ultra-bright machined aluminum wheels, and the exclusive Denali badging. Additionally, this trim level comes with a chrome accent on the door handles and bodyside mounting, and a special black finish for the Denali Black Diamond edition of this trim level.

SEATING

If you’re looking for a vehicle with plenty of space for passengers, then the 2023 GMC Acadia is an excellent option. By base, the vehicle comes with seats for six people, with two seats across three rows. When you buy the vehicle new, you can also choose an optional seven-seat setup to fit one more passenger safely within the vehicle.

Even if your 2023 Acadia is full of passengers, there’s plenty of space. Separated by head, leg, shoulder, and hip space respectively, the vehicle has 40 in., 41 in., 59.4 in, and 55.7 in. of space in the front row of seats. The 2023 GMC Acadia comes with plenty of entertainment features that keep you and your passengers excited every time you enter the vehicle. First, the SLE trim level comes with an 8-inch GMC infotainment system, which controls the trim level’s six-speaker audio system. At the other trim levels, the same panel also controls the real-time navigation system, which can provide useful information about traffic, speed limits, and accidents that are ahead of you or along your route and is connected to an eight-speaker Bose premium sound system to provide plenty of infotainment optics to you and your passengers.

Pro

You have the options of a crew cab, a double cab, or a regular cab. SLE

The SLE trim level is the second version of the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. It comes with the same features as the Pro trim level but also includes the options for several features including a more powerful engine. The 5.3-liter V-8 or the 3.0-liter turbodiesel compared to the standard 2.7-liter engine brings both more horsepower and more torque. This means the truck has overall more power, which makes it easier to haul large cargo, such as heavy bed loads or trailers. 

This trim level also has a more detailed infotainment system, as well as heated seats, steering wheel, and exterior mirrors to make driving more comfortable.

Elevation

The Elevation is an excellent middle ground between the base version of the truck and the higher trim levels. It has similar engine and performance options as the SLE, but has additional exterior changes that make the truck more visually appealing. These features include LED fog lights, monochromatic accents, a better suspension system for larger loads, larger wheels, and a black front grille. If you’re looking for better towing and hauling capabilities plus a nicer appearance for your truck, then the Elevation is the right trim level for you.

SLT

If you weren’t pleased with the engine options from the previous trim models, then perhaps having a fourth option is for you. The SLT offers the same three engines as the lower trim levels but adds the option of a 6.2-liter V-8. This engine is much more powerful than the others, making your driving and towing that much easier. The SLT version of the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 also comes with an improved speaker system, passenger seats with power adjustment, and auto-dimming mirrors to protect you and your passengers from dangerous glare.

AT4

The AT4 is the first version of the 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 that is designed for offroading. With this version of the truck, you get a full off-road package, including standard four-wheel drive, 10-speed automatic transmission, skid plates, and an engine heater for cold weather. Unlike the AT4, which gives you the option of the 3.0-liter turbodiesel or the 6.2-liter V-8, the AT4X comes standard with the V-8 engine. This means it can apply its maximum power to its larger wheels to give you even better handling.

Denali

The last two trim levels of the 2023 GMX Sierra 1500 are the luxury versions of the truck. The Denali comes with the same engine options as the SLE but only has four-wheel drive. The real luxury comes from the interior of the truck where you can have a full surround-view camera, wireless phone charging pad, 10-way adjustable power seats, and plenty of infotainment and technology features to keep you entertained. This version of the truck also comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, which can help you navigate brief periods of off-road driving.

Denali Ultimate

Exterior Design

Chevy offers the 2023 Suburban in six different trim levels, and each one has unique exterior features. The LS starts the lineup with 18-inch alloy wheels. It has rain-sensing windshield wipers that turn on automatically when they sense precipitation, LED taillights and daytime running lights, and automatic LED headlights that turn on and off according to traffic conditions. A step up from the base LS trim to the LT gets you a hands-free power liftgate, so you can easily access the cargo area, even if you have your hands full of gear, groceries, or children.

The RST is the sporty Suburban. It has 22-inch black-painted wheels, black exterior trim elements to give it a bolder style, and a unique front fascia. The RST, LT, and LS offer a new black front grille for the 2023 model year, with Chevrolet displayed in capital letters across the front.

If you plan to take your SUV over rough terrain, the Suburban Z71 is the model for you. It comes standard with four-wheel drive and extra off-road equipment, such as skid plates, all-terrain tires for the 20-inch wheels, and a two-speed transfer case. It also has red front tow hooks, a heavy-duty air filter, black textured side steps that run from wheel to wheel, and a uniquely designed front fascia. The redesigned front end improves the SUV’s approach angle, making it easier to drive over rocks and other off-road obstacles.

Stepping up to the Premier adds magnetic ride control and an optional power panoramic sunroof. The High Country has 22-inch alloy wheels and optional power-retractable running boards. It also stands out from the other models with a unique front grille design with bronze accents.

Interior Space and Seating

In its standard configuration, the Suburban has room for up to eight people. All three rows have plenty of headroom and legroom, and there’s easy access to every seat in the vehicle. You’ll also find impressive cargo space in the Suburban. Behind all three rows, there are 41.5 cubic feet, but this can expand to 93.8 cubic feet if you fold down the third row. With both back rows folded, it has more storage space than any regular-length full-size SUV. You can carry up to 144.7 cubic feet of gear for hitting the lakes near Seminole.

The cushioned front seats in the Suburban have plenty of support to keep you comfortable on long rides. The second row is roomy, with space for taller passengers to spread out. Although the third-row seats don’t have as much cushioning as the front two rows, there’s enough space for adults to ride comfortably.

The Premier and High Country trims switch out the second-row bench seat for captain’s chairs, making the second row even more comfortable even if it does reduce the seating to seven.

Interior Features

Cloth upholstery is standard in the lower Suburban trims, and even the base LS has convenient power-adjustable front seats. The leather-wrapped steering wheel gives the Suburban an upscale feel even for the entry-level trims, and it has a manual tilt-and-telescoping feature to help you find a comfortable position. Tri-zone automatic climate control is another standard feature in this SUV. Stepping up to the LT gets you heated front seats and leather upholstery for the first and second rows. It also adds driver’s seat memory settings and power-folding second-row and third-row seats.

When you want to get into luxury territory, the Premier and High Country have added cabin features to get you there. These trims have ventilated front seats, a power-folding third row, and a power-sliding center console that moves back and forth to help create extra space. They also upgraded the upholstery to perforated leather.

The RST trim has a distinctive look in the cabin, with RST-specific seats with contrasting stitching for a sportier feel.

Technology

You can’t have a luxury cruiser without the technology to keep everyone in the cabin entertained, and the 2023 Suburban has all the tech features you’ll need. If you start with the base LS trim, you’ll get an 8-inch touch screen that houses Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 system. It has Bluetooth, incorporates a six-speaker stereo system, and it works with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Satellite radio capability is also standard, along with a Wi-Fi hotspot, OnStar telecommunications, and six USB ports.

If you step up to the LT, a larger 10.2-inch touch screen sits in the middle of the dashboard to house the infotainment system instead of the 8-inch screen, and it has a 12-inch color digital gauge cluster in front of the driver. Wireless phone charging is another added tech feature in the LT, and this trim and above get built-in Google compatibility.

The Premier and High Country add to the tech features with a 10-speaker Bose surround-sound stereo system, and the High Country also adds a head-up display and a digital rearview mirror. The head-up display projects driver information on the windshield in front of you just below your line of sight so you can keep your eyes on the road. Depending on the trim level, a rear-seat entertainment system is available with two 12.6-inch LCD touch-screen displays.
