2025 Canyon Basics and New Features
Every 2025 Canyon model features a four-door cab design with a five-person seating capacity combined with a 5.5-foot cargo bed. The turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four engine generates 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but four-wheel drive is available for the base Elevation trim and is standard on the AT4 and Denali models.
After undergoing a redesign two years ago, changes for 2025 are minimal, but the ProGrade Trailering System and Safety Plus Package are now standard on the base model.
Towing and Hauling Capability
The 2025 Canyon offers a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 lbs and the base model provides a 1,803-lb payload capacity for your hauling needs. The ProGrade Trailering System adds helpful features that include an in-vehicle trailering app, and a standard trailer brake controller is integrated with the antilock brake system to help ensure your trailer travels at the same speed as your truck for smoother braking. The Driver Information Center conveniently displays the trailer gain and output behind the wheel.
Off-Road-Ready Features
An off-road suspension with a 2.0-inch factory lift provides extra ground clearance and better approach and departure angles on every model. There are two horizontal frame-mounted recovery hooks in front, and the standard automatic locking rear differential increases traction by locking to turn both rear wheels together when it detects a significant difference in wheel speed. The StabiliTrak system provides electronic stability and traction control by adjusting the brakes and engine torque to help you stay on your intended path.
For ultimate off-road capability, the AT4 model comes with extra equipment including a two-speed transfer case with 2WD HI mode for all road surfaces, 4WD Auto mode for winter conditions and light off-road use, and 4WD LO mode for serious off-roading.
Premium Infotainment System
An 11.3-inch multitouch infotainment display is standard across the Canyon lineup with Google built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration for compatible smartphones, and vehicle feature customization. It’s complemented by an 11-inch fully reconfigurable Driver Information Center with a driver-selectable gauge display.
