The Chevy Tahoe is an expert at hauling both people and cargo, with room for up to nine passengers. For 2025, it adds greater power to its engine lineup along with updated technology that offers enhanced intelligence and more convenience. Let’s examine the 2025 Chevy Tahoe more closely.
A Closer Look at the 2025 Chevy Tahoe: Power and Prestige on the Road
Versatile Engine Options
The Tahoe offers a three-engine lineup that consists of two V8s and a diesel engine. The standard engine on most trims is a 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 that produces 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The standard engine on the 2025 Chevy Tahoe High Country and Premier trims is a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, good for 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
For 2025, the available Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel I-6 engine sees a power boost of over 35 hp and lb-ft of torque, bringing its power output to 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque. With all engines, the Tahoe can tow up to 8,400 pounds when properly equipped, making it ideal for hauling the family camper. The Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, previously limited to Z71 and High Country, is now available on 2025 Chevy Tahoe RST trim as well.
Space for the Whole Family
The standard seating configuration seats eight in a 2-3-3 setup, but capacity can be raised to nine or lowered to seven in certain trims. If opting for second-row captain’s chairs, optional power-sliding functionality makes it easy for passengers to access the adult-sized third row. In the rear, 25.5 cu.ft. of cargo space is available to hold all your daily gear and groceries. With the third row folded, 72.6 cu.ft. is freed up, while both rows folded opens up 123 cu.ft.
Drivers have significant choice of materials, amenities, and comforts. Those with affordability as their main priority will enjoy the durable cloth seating surfaces and keyless entry of the base LS trim, while those with a penchant for the finer things will love the power-adjustable, heated, and ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and authentic wood decor of the High Country trim.
Refreshed Styling
The 2025 model features a mid-cycle refresh, with a redesigned front fascia, updated grille designs, and new lighting elements. Each trim stands out with its own unique styling, such as the dark badges and blacked-out accents of the RST trim or the bronze accents and 22-inch exclusive wheels of the High Country trim.
Next-Level Technology
Dominating the dashboard is a new 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen that offers an array of standard features, including wireless smartphone connectivity, a Wi-Fi hotspot, built-in Google, and over-the-air updates. Audio systems range from a standard 6-speaker stereo in lower trims to a 10-speaker Bose audio system in higher trims.
